Woodworm Cricket Bats

Cricket Bats Information

Every cricket enthusiast understands the importance of cricket bats. The traditional paddle-shaped bat, usually made of willow, is at the very heart of this historic sport. Crickets bats are made by a number of different manufacturers around the world, and most of them are trying to manufacture a tool that’s good enough to be used by the professionals.

Woodworm Cricket Bats

Woodworm cricket bats, with their distinctive shape, are a relative newcomer to the game of cricket. Company founder Joe Sillet was asked to play in a club team and discovered his bat had been attacked by woodworm. He cut out the damaged sections and scored a century with the repaired bat. This persuaded him to set up a business making cricket bats.

Kookaburra Cricket Bats

Kookaburra cricket bats have been around a lot longer – Kookaburra sport was founded way back in 1890. The New Zealand company has been making cricket equipment for a long time. Its range of cricket bats includes the Big Kahuna, designed to deliver a powerful shot, sending the cricket ball flying towards the boundary.
